Overview
Location
The farm is situated in close proximity to Friendsville, MD. It takes less than three hours to reach from Washington D.C. and less than two hours from Pittsburgh, PA. Furthermore, it is just a 20-minute drive away from the Deep Creek Lake resort area, which provides a variety of summer water sports and winter skiing opportunities.
Setup
There are two locations available: The first is situated beside a tranquil creek and a pavilion. The picturesque scenery comprises of the creek and surrounding farmland. The farm itself is the main draw of this location, featuring cows, goats, and other animals that can be encountered and interacted with. Additionally, there is a small farm store on the property. A yurt is already available for vacation rental and typically rents for an average of $125 per night.
The second location is part of the farm, but it is a short drive away. This location boasts a beautiful rural vista and in the future, it will be home to an herbal garden.
Occupancy
The season begins in early spring and concludes after the fall foliage has passed. Additionally, thanks to its proximity to the WISP ski area, there may be opportunities for winter occupancy.
Conclusion
For the first season, we anticipate average occupancy at an average nightly rate, as the farm already operates a vacation rental. During the second season, we anticipate similar levels of occupancy at a higher nightly rate.
